Renee Jolles

Renee Jolles, Violin Soloist, hailed as a "real star" by the New York Times, enjoys an eclectic career as a chamber musician and solo artist. She has premiered hundreds of works, including the American premiere of Schnittke's Violin Concerto No. 2.  Her concerto engagements have included the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and the Philharmonic Orchestra of New Jersey, among others.  

Ms. Jolles is a member of Continuum, the Roerich Quartet, the New York Chamber Ensemble, and is a concertmaster of the conductorless Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.  

Ms. Jolles is on the faculty of Juilliard and the Mannes School of Music Pre-College Divisions and the Bowdoin International Music Festival. She received her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Juilliard, where she was the recipient of the school's highest prize, the William Shuman Award.
Cellist Susannah Chapman is well-established as a chamber musician, soloist, contemporary music interpreter, and performer in leading cham-ber orchestras. The principal cellist of the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra, she is a former member of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and currently performs regularly with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.

 Ms. Chapman performs with the Bang-on-a-Can All-Stars, the cello quartet "Cello", and is a member of Cygnus, a contemporary music sex-tet with its own series at Merkin Hall, and residencies at both Sarah Lawrence College and City University of New York. 

Ms. Chapman is a founding member of the string trio Trigon and spent several summers at the Marlboro Music Festival. She holds a Doctorate of Music from SUNY Stony Brook, and is the cello instructor at Sarah Lawrence College.
