James Wilson
For the past fifteen years, cellist James Wilson has performed to the delight of audiences throughout the world. Acclaimed for his singing tone and intelligent and soulful approach to music, he has appeared in Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center, Casal's Hall in Tokyon, and the Sydney Opera House.
As a recitalist and chamber musician, he has performed at music festivals around the world. Wilson has collaborated with such diverse artists as violinist Joshua Bell, flutist Eugenia Zukerman, pianist Christopher O'Reily, guitarist Eliot Fisk, actress Claire Bloom, and the Tokyo String Quartet.
He has also been a member of the Shanghai and Chester String Quartets, touring extensively worldwide with both groups.
Cellist Susannah Chapman is well-established as a chamber musician, soloist, contemporary music interpreter, and performer in leading cham-ber orchestras. The principal cellist of the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra, she is a former member of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and currently performs regularly with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.
Ms. Chapman performs with the Bang-on-a-Can All-Stars, the cello quartet "Cello", and is a member of Cygnus, a contemporary music sex-tet with its own series at Merkin Hall, and residencies at both Sarah Lawrence College and City University of New York.
Ms. Chapman is a founding member of the string trio Trigon and spent several summers at the Marlboro Music Festival. She holds a Doctorate of Music from SUNY Stony Brook, and is the cello instructor at Sarah Lawrence College.
